Dr. Steva Alexis Komeh
(Komeh, S. A.) is a certified teacher and a licensed and registered dietitian –
nutritionist with a special interest in nutraceuticals, herbs, medicinal plants
and their essential oils. She earned her master’s degree in Human Nutrition and
her doctoral degree in Public Health. A
two year human clinical trial yielded her dissertation entitled Effect of Black Tea on Blood Lipids and
Fecal Fat which received the
CHBGS-Pro-Quest Award. Her post-doctoral research investigated the efficacy and
method of action of this blend essential oils from plants that are reported to
have anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties. Her pre and post doctoral research that was
funded by grants from the National Institutes of Health, National Center for
Complimentary and Alternative Medicine, (NIH-NCCAM). Her research goal is to provided scientific evidence of the
efficacy and safety of natural medicines and therapies.
